This practical course is designed to help physiotherapists improve their ability to assess and manage temporomandibular joint (TMJ/TMD) pain and dysfunction.

Participants will develop a better understanding of TMJ anatomy, contributing factors associated with temporomandibular disorders, and practical assessment and treatment approaches.

The course will cover:

assessment of TMJ pain and dysfunction;
headaches, jaw pain, facial pain and other symptoms potentially associated with TMD;
patient education;
targeted exercises and muscular retraining;
gentle mobilization techniques;
practical assessment techniques and effective treatment strategies for clinical practice.
